Corporate Social Responsibility Report — Puerto Fantasía Group

Foreword

Corporate Social Responsibility Report 2024

Foreword by the CEO of the PUERTO FANTASÍA GROUP

In 2024, we had the privilege of welcoming people from all over the world to the diverse destinations and initiatives of the PUERTO FANTASÍA GROUP. It was a year full of momentum, meaningful encounters, and important milestones — once again highlighting the value of shared experiences, collective progress, and responsible action in an ever-changing world.

This report covers the entire consolidated group structure of the PUERTO FANTASÍA GROUP, including the PROMETHEUS DEUTSCHLAND GMBH, PUERTO FANTASÍA S. DE R.L. DE C.V., and all affiliated subsidiaries of the Group.

Across our group, we continued to pursue one central goal: creating places where people can experience special moments, grow personally, and feel a genuine sense of connection. Whether in leisure and entertainment, education, healthcare, hospitality, or residential development — our projects are designed to bring people together and enrich lives.

Bringing these visions to life comes with great responsibility. In 2024, we deepened our commitment to sustainability, social inclusion, and local engagement. Every initiative was developed in harmony with its surrounding region — with deep respect for the environment, culture, and local communities.

Inclusion remained a guiding principle throughout the year. Together with our employees, partners, and guests with disabilities, we worked to ensure our offerings are barrier-free and accessible to all — implementing this commitment across all areas of our organization.

Environmental and climate protection also continued to be a core pillar of our strategy. Alongside many initiatives to reduce our ecological footprint, Earth Month 2024 provided an opportunity to foster awareness of environmentally responsible behavior. Our efforts in this field will be further expanded in 2025.

Our philanthropic work was another central focus in 2024. In close collaboration with local initiatives and institutions, we supported a wide range of projects — from donations to hospitals and nonprofit organizations to the distribution of food, medical supplies, toys, and holiday gifts to children in need. Spreading joy and hope remains at the heart of our mission.

2024 was also a year of transformation. The continued development of our resorts, film studios, water parks, educational and healthcare facilities, as well as new living and community spaces, took shape — strengthening not only our group but also the economic and social future of the wider region.

The PUERTO FANTASÍA GROUP and its affiliated companies look back with pride on a dynamic and meaningful year. We thank all partners, employees, guests, and supporters who accompanied us on this journey — and we look ahead with anticipation to all that lies before us.

Social Commitments

Sharing Our Values with Local Communities

In 2024, PUERTO FANTASIA GROUP continued its strong commitment to social responsibility and social inclusion. Across the entire Group, a variety of initiatives were implemented to strengthen communities, support social causes, and create new career opportunities for young people.

Teaming Initiative – Fostering a Culture of Solidarity

As part of the Group-wide Teaming initiative, employees were given the opportunity to voluntarily donate a small fixed amount (e.g. 20 pesos per month) directly from their paycheck to charitable causes. This payroll-giving program was carried out in close partnership with local aid organizations, cultivating a workplace culture of solidarity, personal responsibility, and social engagement across PUERTO FANTASIA GROUP.

Occupations for Young People Program – Empowering Young Talent

A key project in 2024 was the Occupations for Young People program, aimed at unemployed yet educated or qualified young adults between 18 and 30 years old. In collaboration with the Quintana Roo public employment office, the program selected 20 participants to undergo over 100 hours of practical training in the fields of hospitality and business — opening new career paths with a focus on leisure, hospitality, and sustainable tourism.

Commitment to Inclusive Employment and Social Integration

In 2024, PUERTO FANTASIA GROUP began the structured integration of individuals with Down syndrome and other forms of disability from the Quintana Roo region into operational teams. The Group also initiated recruitment pathways for survivors of gender-based violence, specifically young women aged 18 to 30 from Cancún, Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum — in cooperation with local support organizations and municipal outreach programs.

A comprehensive onboarding and support system was introduced, including individualized welcome plans, initial job training, and close mentorship. By the end of 2024, PUERTO FANTASIA GROUP aimed to have employed an average of 30 individuals with special needs.

A Model for Learning, Growth and Future-Ready Talent

At PUERTO FANTASIA GROUP, continuous learning is a cornerstone of our corporate culture. Training content is dynamic and adaptive, built around competence management, workplace safety, environmental responsibility, and inclusive leadership. Environmental Commitments

Environmental Stewardship Across the Group

At PUERTO FANTASIA GROUP — including Prometheus Deutschland GmbH, PUERTO FANTASÍA S. DE R.L. DE C.V., and all affiliated operations — environmental responsibility is embedded in every level of planning, operations, and governance. In 2024, the Group advanced its commitment to the circular economy by expanding internal systems for material reuse, reducing dependency on external resources while adding long-term economic and ecological value.

Water and waste management are key areas of innovation. Organic waste is converted into nutrient-rich soil for landscaping. Blackwater and greywater are treated through plant-based aquifer systems. Ionization technology improves water quality and reduces reliance on external treatment infrastructure.

Energy

We are fully committed to the energy transition by prioritising clean, renewable energy sources and promoting energy efficiency across all operations. Measures include low-energy LED lighting, keycard-activated power systems in hotel rooms, and automatic air conditioning shut-off when windows are opened — all managed via a centralised control platform.

Solar Energy

The PUERTO FANTASÍA GROUP continues to advance the development of a large-scale photovoltaic power plant with a planned surface area of 32,000 m² and an expected annual output of 3.4 MWp. Photovoltaic solar energy is renewable, inexhaustible, and non-polluting — it operates silently and without emissions, forming a key element of our long-term sustainable development strategy.

Water & Wastewater

Effective water management is a core environmental priority. We monitor consumption daily and continuously reduce usage through regular leak detection tests, automated irrigation systems, and water-saving plumbing fixtures. Nearly 100% of water used for human consumption undergoes advanced tertiary treatment at our Wastewater Treatment Plant — allowing reclaimed water to be safely reused.

Waste

Minimising waste generation and maximising recycling are central to our sustainability strategy. Our waste management teams implement both technical and organisational measures to improve the sorting and handling of recyclable and organic materials, fostering a group-wide culture of environmental responsibility.

Biodiversity Protection

PUERTO FANTASÍA GROUP champions the protection and conservation of biodiversity through targeted initiatives across all regions. Programme highlights include:

  • Rescue and relocation of native wildlife
  • Ecological compensation in support of wetland conservation
  • Reforestation and sustainable landscaping projects
  • Composting of vegetation cleared during land development
  • Environmental education campaigns for local communities and staff

All identified native fauna are carefully rescued and relocated to protected natural areas such as the APFF Manglares de Nichupté — ensuring development proceeds in harmony with regional biodiversity.

Water Quality Control

Water quality is monitored through a robust quality management system aligned with ISO 9001 standards. Our in-house laboratory oversees the quality of all water used for drinking, bathing, recreational activities, and reclaimed water for irrigation — ensuring full compliance with applicable health and safety regulations.

Cybersecurity

A comprehensive set of cybersecurity measures is being implemented to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information systems, data, and digital management tools — ensuring operational resilience and stakeholder trust in an increasingly connected world.

Facilities Control

We ensure a hygienic and safe environment across all operational areas by applying stringent maintenance and sanitation protocols. Regular scheduled disinfections cover ventilation systems, air-conditioning ducts, chimneys, extraction fans, and wastewater discharge lines. Fire detection, suppression, and evacuation systems are regularly tested and certified.

Respect for Diversity and Equality

Diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity are foundational to our human capital strategy. PUERTO FANTASÍA GROUP is firmly committed to a workplace free of discrimination. Formal policies include a Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, a Workplace Harassment Prevention Protocol, and an Equal Opportunities Plan promoting gender equity.

Supply Chain Quality Control

We maintain strict oversight of our supply chain with annual performance reviews of the 100 most strategic partners. Suppliers are evaluated on quality of service, accuracy and timeliness of invoicing, coordination and compliance, and adherence to environmental and occupational safety standards. All approved suppliers must accept the PUERTO FANTASÍA GROUP Code of Ethics and commit to the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact.

Developing Skills: Building Careers, Enhancing Employability

At PUERTO FANTASÍA GROUP, every new employee receives a structured induction programme. Leadership development is supported by Puerto Fantasía University. Our Internal Management School provides a pathway to leadership roles, while the My Puerto Fantasía Careers platform enables employees to apply for open positions before external recruitment begins — ensuring internal talent is always prioritised.

Well-being and Quality of Work Life

We promote work-life balance, mental and physical well-being, and continuously strive to enhance the overall quality of working life for all employees. A dedicated Psychosocial Risk Prevention Framework is being developed, alongside our internal Workplace Exchange social platform — fostering community, connectivity, and innovation within the company.

Corporate Commitments

From Structure to Strategy, From Planning to Performance

The year 2024 marks the transition of the PUERTO FANTASÍA GROUP from an organization in formation to one in full-scale execution. With governance structures, compliance frameworks, and operational systems put in place in 2023, this year is about activating them with purpose — ensuring that every strategic decision is aligned with our responsibility commitments.

Internally, we are shifting from foundational setup to measurable impact. Cross-functional working groups now link sustainability, finance, brand, legal, and operations into a unified decision-making architecture. Our board receives regular updates not only on performance, but on progress toward environmental, social, and governance objectives — and on the risks that could affect them.

We are also expanding our strategic partnerships with institutions and private investors who share our vision of long-term, values-driven development. The capital that supports us is not merely financial — it is aligned, intentional, and committed to the same principles we stand for.

As construction begins and public visibility increases, our brand becomes more than a promise. It becomes a responsibility. Corporate communications, guest engagement, investor dialogue, and government relations are all guided by a unified narrative: that we are here to build not only destinations, but trust.

2024 will therefore be a year of embodiment — where the structures we created begin to speak through the actions we take, the partnerships we form, and the standards we uphold in every part of the business.
